Service of Diagnostic and interventional medical imaging

The Imaging Department at the Raymond Poincaré Hospital specializes in the diagnosis and interventional radiology management of pathologies of the spine, joints and musculoskeletal system.

This department also specializes in the management of neurological pathologies and related to neurolocomotor disability.

It has a recent, top-of-the-range technical platform, with specific innovative equipment.

Our equipment:

  • EOS: this is a very low-radiation stereoradiography system enabling analysis of morphology and deformations of the spine and limbs, useful for the management of rehabilitation and surgery of the spine and limbs.
  • MRI: this is a top-of-the-range machine with an osteoarticular and neurological focus, enabling very fine studies of the musculoskeletal system, brain, spinal cord and nerves.
  • Echography: the department has two top-of-the-range ultrasound scanners enabling all conventional ultrasound scans, dopplers, cardiac and diaphragmatic ultrasound. The ultrasound scanners are particularly well-suited to muscle and tendon pathology in major athletes and disabled patients.
  • Ostéodensitométrie: recent top-of-the-range equipment enabling an assessment of bone mineralization and microarchitecture. This device also provides a whole-body tissue composition assessment, useful for monitoring myopathies as well as in the preparation phases for major athletes.
  • Scanner: system enabling 128 slices to be produced in one resolution, equipped with all systems for dose and metal artifact reduction (prostheses, spinal fixtures...). It is equipped with a 3D interventional radiology module.
  • Interventional radiology: the imaging department has a plan sensor cone beam interventional radiology table (CBCT) with a C-arm enabling all osteo-articular interventional radiology procedures.
  • Remote-controlled radiology table: these are two digitized tables in plan sensor technique enabling a significant reduction in radiation doses delivered to the patient. These tables enable all skeletal X-rays, diagnostic and interventional digestive radiology (gastrostomy), swallowing tests and retrograde and voiding urethrocystography.
  • LineUP (1st at AP-HP): this is a cone-beam type device that enables the feet, ankles and knees to be studied in a standing position, like a CT scanner, with very low patient irradiation compared with a conventional scanner.

For initial consultations, booking an appointment via the AP-HP patient area is to be preferred.
