The Digestive Endoscopy Center at Hôpital Saint-Antoine (AP-HP.Sorbonne Université), directed by Pr Xavier Dray, offers a comprehensive care package in a care pathway that is both fluid and secure.
Opened on September 3, 2018, the Digestive Endoscopy Center features a modern endoscopic technical platform, where all endoscopic techniques are performed, both conventional (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, videocapsule, enteroscopy,...) and interventional (complex tumor resections, echo-endoscopy, ERCP, dilatations, prostheses,...). The most innovative techniques are deployed here, for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of conditions (tumoral or otherwise) of the digestive tract, pancreas and bile ducts.
With over 10,000 digestive endoscopies performed each year, around half of them in day hospital (HDJ), the Digestive Endoscopy Center at Hôpital Saint-Antoine is one of the busiest centers in the AP-HP and Ile-de-France. The expertise of our operators enables us to treat biliopancreatic disorders, prevent colorectal cancer, explore diseases of the small intestine, treat digestive hemorrhage, and monitor genetic diseases predisposing to digestive cancers (in conjunction with the PRED-IF network).
The Digestive Endoscopy Center also organizes the digestive endoscopy on-call service for all AP-HP establishments in Paris intra-muros (75), Seine-Saint-Denis (93) and Val-de-Marne (94). At Hôpital Saint Antoine, these emergency endoscopies are closely coordinated with the "SOS serious digestive emergencies" program run by the Anesthesia-Resuscitation Department. At our other sites, our teams are on hand at night and at weekends to assist patients in critical care units, covering a catchment area of 5.2 million inhabitants.
