The Gynecological Surgery and Oncology, Reproductive Medicine department, headed by Pr Charles Chapron brings together, on a state-of-the-art medical-surgical platform:

  • A Gynecological Surgery unit dedicated to the inpatient conventional and ambulatory management of gynecological cancers (uterus, cervix, ovary, sarcomas), pelvic static disorders (prolapse, urinary incontinence) and all benign gynecological pathologies (fibroids, endometriosis, vulvar pathology....),
  • A Gynecological Emergencies unit accessible 24/7,
  • A Reproductive Medicine unit for the management of infertility through Medically Assisted Procreation (MAP) and fertility preservation (http://fertilitepariscentre.aphp.fr) ,
  • A Medical and Endocrine Gynecology unit, for the medical management of benign gynecological pathologies, hormonal for women at vascular or carcinological risk, and menopause,
  • A center for Diagnostic Hysteroscopy,
  • A center for Pelvic and Fertility Ultrasound,
  • A Family Planning unit for the management of requests for voluntary termination of pregnancy (IVG).
It is also developing an intense clinical and fundamental research activity to advance knowledge and management of major gynecological pathologies such as:
  • Endometriosis,
  • Adenomyosis,
  • Fibroids,
  • Genital prolapses,
  • Pelvic cancers,
  • Hormonal treatments,
  • Contraception and menopause.

It is organized to welcome and train hospital students from the University of Paris, specialty and general medicine interns, foreign students and doctors.
