The Digestive, Hepatobiliary and Endocrine Surgery Department welcomes you to the Cochin Port-Royal Hospital

its areas of expertise and research are liver, pancreas and biliary tract surgery (particularly for cancerous tumors), and endocrine gland surgery (thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal).

Surgical activity also includes a functional digestive surgery component (colonic diverticular disease, deep endometriosis, hiatal surgery, motor disorders of the esophagus, biliary surgery), parietal surgery and significant emergency activity.

This department features a 35-bed conventional hospitalization sector dedicated to heavy digestive surgery including surgical emergencies.
At Hôpital Cochin, the department's conventional surgical activity is performed mainly in the block of the Ollier building.As for the ambulatory surgery activity, it takes place in the Uité de Chirurgie Ambulatoire (Rez de jardin, pavillon Port-Royal)

A robotic surgery activity began in 2019 and takes place in the shared robotic surgery room, between the thoracic and digestive surgery departments 2.5 days a week.

The Department of Digestive, Hepatobiliary and Endocrine Surgery is a university department attached to the Université Paris Cité, whose mission is to train future digestive surgeons, to carry out clinical and fundamental research in both primary and secondary cancers of the liver and pancreas, and in endocrine surgery, while maintaining the objective of offering patients new technological and therapeutic innovations as quickly as possible.
