Service of Internal Medicine - Immunology

The Department of Internal Medicine and Clinical Immunology welcomes you to Bicêtre University Hospital.

It provides diagnostic investigations and therapeutic management of patients suffering from:

1)systemic autoimmune diseases (lupus, vasculitis, etc.), inflammatory and dysimmune diseases, with investigations of the main internal medicine syndromes (weight loss, prolonged fever, inflammatory syndrome...).), inflammatory and dysimmune diseases, with exploration of the main internal medicine syndromes (weight loss, prolonged fever, inflammatory syndrome...);

2) benign hematological diseases (anemia, thrombocytopenia....) ;

3) hemoglobinopathies (sickle cell anemia, thalassemia...) ;

4) immunological diseases (lymphoid hemopathies, monoclonal gammapathy..) and immune deficiencies;

5) infectious diseases, including HIV infection and hepatitis B and C, and their complications.

The department's structure, which includes a consultation, a day hospital and inpatient beds, means that patients' pathways can be tailored to their state of health after an initial consultation. Patient care is facilitated by the hospital group's access to a wide range of medical-technical facilities (biological, radiological, endoscopic, functional explorations, etc.) and established collaborations with medical and surgical specialties. The department plays an active role in clinical research, a source of therapeutic innovation. Physicians provide care for older children and young adults, as part of the transition to pediatric services in our areas of expertise. The department receives patients by appointment, respecting the different hematologist-internist or immunologist-infectiologist orientations of our specialist physicians.

The department offers the possibility of direct telephone advice and rapid consultation in internal medicine, accessible only to physicians, via the 01 45 21 72 82 line from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Friday and from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday morning.
