Service of Maxillo-facial surgery and pediatric plastic surgery

The Maxillofacial Surgery and Plastic Surgery Pediatric Surgery Department provides university hospital-based maxillofacial surgery and plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. 
The medical team includes maxillofacial surgeons, plastic surgeons, specialist physicians, orthodontists, pedodentists, speech therapists and a psychologist. 
Treatment ranges from birth (or age of diagnosis) to the end of growth (18/21 years). Therapeutic strategies are interlinked between all the Department's disciplines or specialties, and every effort is made to limit the impact on personal, school, sporting and psychological life. Surgery, often iterative throughout growth, is the key to treatment. The aim of treatment is to achieve functional, morphological, aesthetic and psychological rehabilitation as close as possible to normal.
The following services are provided within the department: surgical interventions, specific nursing care, complex or innovative orthodontic treatments, specific pedodontic treatments or treatments that need to be carried out under general anaesthetic and/or at the same time as surgery, speech therapy assessments or psychological assessments.
Everything that can be carried out close to home is given priority: pre-surgical or post-surgical orthodontic treatments, pedodontic care, speech therapy, psychological follow-up, ENT follow-up and treatments, pediatric follow-up in conjunction with the Center.

The department's integrated Pediatric Oral Surgery Unit takes care of the oral health and oral surgery of children with psychomotor disabilities, severe or chronic complex medical pathologies or rare diseases requiring a highly specialized medical environment. Treatment can be carried out in the chair, under nitrous oxide or general anesthesia. The medical team includes an oral surgeon, pedodentists, orthodontists, a speech therapist, a psychomotricist, a psychologist.

Horaires de visite dans le service d’hospitalisation : A tout moment dans la journée mais seuls les parents sont autorisés, un seul parent peut dormir avec l’enfant.

consultations particulières

Consultation anténatale :
Lorsqu’un diagnostic d’anomalie de la face est porté chez un fœtus, l’infirmière de consultation gère l’appel et le RV : 01 44 49 43 16 ou rdvnc.cmfplastique.nck@aphp.fr . Un chirurgien reçoit la femme enceinte (et le futur père) pour confirmer ou établir le diagnostic, et informer les parents. Le RV avec le chirurgien est suivi systématiquement d’un RV de consultation infirmière et un RV avec la psychologue

Consultation des nouveau-nés :
Lorsqu’une maternité contacte le service pour un nouveau-né ayant une anomalie de la face ou de l’enveloppe corporelle (malformation, angiome, tumeur, naevus géant), le RV est organisé avec l’un des chirurgiens en lien avec la maternité. L’infirmière gère le RV : 01 44494316 ou rdvnc.cmfplastique.nck@aphp.fr . Le RV avec le chirurgien est précédé d’un RV de consultation infirmière

Consultations pluridisciplinaires :
Le principe est de réunir autour de l’enfant tous les spécialistes concernés par la pathologie. Les consultations pluridisciplinaires concernent les angiomes, les fentes labiopalatines et fentes faciales, certains syndromes (Treacher-collins, Goldenhar, Moebius…), les hypomaxillies, les cicatrices, les syndromes très rares.
