Service of Medical imaging
The Medical Imaging Department at Beaujon Hospital features conventional radiology rooms, ultrasound scanners, two CT scanners and an MRI. Interventional radiology, within the department includes three dedicated rooms.
The Medical Imaging department at Beaujon Hospital is a general radiology department that responds to the hospital's themes. It has particular access to imaging of diseases of the digestive tract (liver, pancreas, intestine and colon-rectum), neurological imaging, bone and joint imaging and emergency imaging, in particular polytrauma.
It has developed excellence in interventional radiology for the treatment of liver cancers, bile ducts and bleeding emergencies with a 24/7 on-call service.
The 1-day diagnosis center for benign tumors and liver cancers (HOPE) is aimed at anyone presenting with a tumor that has just been detected during a consultation with their doctor or following an imaging examination. It enables all the examinations required (blood test, CT scan, MRI) to diagnose a benign or cancerous tumor of the liver to be carried out in a single day and in a single location.
Since November 2023,the 1-day diagnosis center for benign tumors and cancers of the liver (HOPE)has been one of 30 Centres de Diagnostic Rapide (CDR) en cancérologieat the AP-HP. This accreditation reaffirms, for the period 2021-2030, its vocation to accelerate diagnosis and offer a personalized, multidisciplinary circuit tailored to the severity of the pathology of each patient with liver cancer.
