Service of Medical Oncology

The department, which brings together a team of eleven practitioners (oncologists, general practitioners, pharmacists, etc.), is entirely dedicated to the care of patients with all types of cancer (excluding bronchial cancers) and to the medical treatment of cancer (chemotherapy, hormone therapy, targeted therapies, immunotherapy, therapeutic intensification).
The department has many areas of expertise, notably in the treatment of breast and gynecological cancers, digestive and urological tumors, as well as strong expertise in the treatment of testicular and ENT tumors. It is also a reference center for the treatment of soft tissue sarcomas, and is the first reference center after Lyon-Sud for the treatment of trophoblastic tumors. Finally, its expertise in the treatment of elderly subjects is widely recognized.
The medical oncology department benefits from the proximity of four surgical departments at the Tenon AP-HP hospital (gynecological and breast, ENT, thoracic and urological) and the onco-radiotherapy department. 
The department ensures a policy of supportive care right from the initial intake, integrating socio-professional aspects in conjunction with several associations. Palliative care is also provided with respect for the individual. The department is also a training ground for the University of Patients.
