Service of Nephrology Department

The Nephrology and Dialysis Department welcomes you to the Tenon University Hospital. The team provides diagnostic investigations and therapeutic management for adult patients suffering from : - glomerulonephritis, with exploration of the main symptoms: edema, arterial hypertension, proteinuria, albuminuria, nephrotic syndrome; - autoimmune systemic diseases (lupus, rheumatoid arthritis) and inflammatory diseases (vasculitis, sarcoidosis) affecting the kidney; - rare and hereditary kidney diseases (polycystic kidney disease, Alport syndrome, etc.); - renal complications of diseases of the liver and kidneys.); - renal complications of infections, including HIV infection and hepatitis B and C; - cancerous and hematological diseases with renal involvement (myeloma, amyloidosis); - chronic kidney disease at all stages, renal failure and their complications; - diabetes, hypertension and atherosclerosis with renal involvement; - other renal diseases. The department also has expertise in all dialysis methods (peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, daily home dialysis), which are presented, along with kidney transplantation, during specialized consultations. Our dialysis specialists can be contacted directly. The department includes a consultation, a weekday hospital, a day hospital and inpatient beds, enabling us to tailor our patients' care to their state of health after an initial consultation. Patient care is facilitated by access to a wide range of medical and technical facilities (biological, radiological, functional explorations, etc.) and collaboration with other medical and surgical specialties within the hospital group. The department plays an active role in clinical and fundamental research, a source of therapeutic innovation thanks to the INSERM research unit in which clinicians and researchers collaborate. The department's doctors are responsible for the care of older children and young adults, as part of the transition from the pediatric nephrology departments of the Robert-Debré and Armand-Trousseau hospitals. The department's doctors can see you by appointment, with a letter from your doctor, which is essential, in line with the different referrals from our specialist doctors. The department offers direct telephone advice and a rapid nephrology consultation, accessible only to doctors, on 01 56 01 66 39 or 01 56 01 70 43 from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
