Service of Obstetrics and gynecology
The team at the gynecology, obstetrics, neonatology and assisted reproduction department at Hôpital Bichat - Claude-Bernard offers couples and patients care in the context of pregnancy monitoring, of a Aide Médicale à la Procréation, of pathologies gynécologiques, as well as a centre de planning familial.
The proximity of a large technical platform also enables, the care of patients with associated pathologies (infectious, cardiac, thyroid, diabetes, etc.).
The Bichat - Claude-bernard maternity unit for you and your baby
The Bichat - Claude-Bernard maternity unit is a level 2 maternity unit. It has an obstetrics unit and a neonatology unit. It monitors both normal and pathological pregnancies and their deliveries. The maternity unit is available 24 hours a day for gynecological and obstetrical emergencies. In 2019 - 2020, maternity teams delivered 2,035 babies.

The gynecology department at Hôpital Bichat - Claude-Bernard

Gynecology consultations:
- Endometriosis
- Cancerology (breast, pelvis)
- Fibromas, ovarian cysts.
- Pelviperineology (prolapse, urinary incontinence)
- Management and treatment of genital mutilation (from September)
- Restorative surgery (breast, perineum, abdomen)
- Additional examinations: diagnostic hysteroscopy and colposcopy
Functional examinations: Ultrasound scans performed in the department
Gynecology hospitalization:
- 20 gynecological surgery beds
- 7 day hospital beds
Gynecological and obstetrical emergencies
The gynecology-obstetrics department provides a 24-hour gynecological and obstetrical emergency service. You can go directly to the ground floor of the maternity ward, Claude-Bernard sector.
Family planning, contraception, abortion at Bichat - Claude-Bernard
The family planning service at Bichat Hospital welcomes you Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
