Service of Orthopedic and trauma surgery

Prof. SAUTET's Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Department is APHP's leading SOS hand in terms of activity: it deals with hand emergencies 24/7.
The care on offer includes all upper limb pathology:

  • shoulder (rotator cuff rupture, osteoarthritis, instability),
  • elbow,
  • hand (Dupuytren's disease, rheumatic pathologies, paralysis, carpal pathologies, wrist arthroscopy, traumatology sequelae, ductal syndromes)
  • pathologies of the hip
  • pathologies of the knee
  • pathologies of the spine

Areas of expertise include arthroscopy (shoulder), microsurgery, surgery of nerves and paralysis, and reconstruction of multi-tissue lesions of the limbs.
The department also handles general trauma emergencies, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Half of all operations are performed on an outpatient basis.
