Service of Orthopedic and trauma surgery

The Orthopedic and Traumatological Surgery Department at Bichat-Claude-Bernard and Beaujon hospitals (Pr Marc-Antoine ROUSSEAU) treats pathologies and traumas of the spine (lumbar spine, cervical spine), lower limbs (hip, knee),and upper limbs (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand).

At Beaujon Hospital:
- spinal surgery: scoliosis, spinal canal narrowing, disc herniation, disc prosthesis, fractures, metastases
- hip and knee surgery: prostheses (PTH - PTG), arthroscopy (menisci - cruciate ligaments)
- shoulder surgery: prostheses, arthroscopic cuff repair
- polytrauma reception center (EMS/heliport)

At Hôpital Bichat - Claude-Bernard:
- outpatient surgery: operations on the shoulder (arthroscopy), wrist and hand (WALANT)
- routine traumatology (mono-trauma)
- specific management of fractures in the elderly: peri-operative ortho-geriatric unit (UPOG)
