Service of Pathological anatomy and cytology
The pathology department's activities are divided into 3 sectors of activity:
- a histological sector for the analysis of biopsy and surgical specimens
- a cytological sector for the analysis of biological fluids and cervico-vaginal smears in liquid medium.
- a tissue section for the storage of samples for diagnostic purposes or in the form of research collections.
The medico-technical team carries out all the administrative and technical tasks required to handle examinations, enabling anatomopathologists to establish results for diagnosis, prevention, screening and therapeutic follow-up as quickly as possible.
Lowly automated discipline in full evolution towards digital pathology.
