Service of Pneumology A
The Pneumology A department at Hôpital Bichat - Claude-Bernard is part of a cluster specializing in the thorax, including a pulmonology department specializing in lung transplantation, a thoracic oncology department, a thoracic surgery department, and a respiratory rehabilitation department.
The department also incorporates a Reference Center for Rare Lung Diseases (adult), which is developing expertise in rare lung diseases, in particular: idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary manifestations of systemic diseases, alveolar proteinosis, familial forms of diffuse interstitial lung disease, lymphangioleiomyomatosis.
The department has also developed expertise in severe bronchial pathologies, particularly during hypereosinophilic syndromes and vasculitides.
The department also handles:
- Drug allergies including anesthetic products
- Allergies to Hymenoptera insect bites
- Severe respiratory allergies
- Anaphylaxis
