Service of Respiratory

As part of its general pulmonology activity, the department cares for all types of respiratory patients including several themes of specific interest:

  • Thoracic oncology (expert center) and in particular the rapid diagnosis and individualized treatment of bronchial cancer.
  • Bronchial diseases:
    • BPCO, asthma notably severe asthma,
    • cystic fibrosis (the department is national coordinating site for the adult Cystic Fibrosis Rare Disease Reference Center),
    • non-cystic fibrosis bronchial dilatations (including primary ciliary dyskinesia, the department is a center of expertise).
  • Chronic respiratory insufficiency.
  • Follow-up of lung transplant patients.
  • Respiratory emergencies and interventional pneumology (endoscopy notably interventional, pleura).

Finally, the department boasts specific skills in the following areas:

  • Diffuse infiltrative pneumopathies
  • Respiratory infectiology
  • Venous thromboembolic disease
  • Sleep apnea syndrome
