Service of Specialized Pharmacological Therapeutic Monitoring Laboratory
The Laboratoire de Suivi Thérapeutique Pharmacologique Spécialisé (STPS) is a medical structure designed to improve patient care by individually adjusting the dose of drugs for which the clinical benefit of pharmacological therapeutic monitoring (STP) has been demonstrated. It performs drug assays for patients whose drug doses need to be adjusted according to their circulating concentrations. The aim of the laboratory is to optimize the service rendered by a drug at individual level, and to encourage "proper use" of the drug
The laboratory carries out assays as part of clinical trials designed to demonstrate the usefulness of new biomarkers of response to treatment. It also performs assays for experimental studies in multiple matrices (blood, brain, etc.). In addition, the laboratory carries out analyses for pharmacokinetic studies in a specific pathophysiological setting.
