Service of Urology

The Urology Department at Hôpital Bichat - Claude-Bernard, which serves as a referral center for the Beaujon, Louis-Mourier and Bretonneau hospitals, deals with all urological pathologies: oncology (kidney, bladder, prostate, testicles, penis), benign prostatic hypertrophy, functional urology (urinary incontinence and genital prolapse), urinary calculi, urological emergencies and male infertility. This university hospital department boasts a medical team of 9 senior surgeons practicing general urology, each with a particular area of expertise. At university level, 4 interns and 9 medical students complete the team. The department is also very active in clinical research and medical innovation, with study and research projects, and the hosting of foreign practitioners and colleagues.
The department comprises a conventional hospitalization and outpatient surgery unit, as well as a consultation platform including a urodynamics and endoscopy laboratory. It boasts a complete surgical technical platform, including a latest-generation surgical robot and the latest innovations in endo-urology (Holmium Laser, GreenLight Laser, bipolar and monopolar resector, optical and digital ureteroscope, etc.).
